The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) called for a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Hubert Minnis on July 16, 2019 following damning revelations on the circumstances surrounding the award of a contract to a sitting Cabinet Minister.

One of the highly anticipated events of Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl week is set for Wednesday, Dec. 18 as the fifth-annual Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl Youth Football Clinic, sponsored by KFC, will take place from 3:30-5:00 pm at the rugby fields next to old Thomas A. Robinson Stadium (adjacent to the National Stadium) in Nassau. RBDF Apprehends Haitian Migrants - Dec 9, 2019 - 2:45:46 PM

A joint maritime operation between the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Police Force, Operation Bahamas Turks and Caicos Islands (OPBAT), and the United States Coast Guard on Saturday past resulted in the apprehension of 39 Haitian nationals in the southern Bahamas.

The migrants (26 males, 13 females) were spotted on an isolated cay off the south eastern coast of Great Inagua earlier in the week. Because of the rocky terrain,  efforts to reach the migrants by land and sea proved difficult...

Awards Presented at the 4th Annual 'Best of the Best Regatta' - Dec 9, 2019 - 1:06:16 PM

Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources the Hon. Michael Pintard delivered remarks at the Closing Ceremony of the 4th Annual 'Best of the Best Regatta' on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Montagu Foreshore.  He bestowed winners' trophies to Running Tide, Susan Chase and Whitty K sailors.  Running Tide was Class A Champ; Susan Chase, Class B Champ; and Whitty K, Class C Champ.  He also presented the Rising Sailor Award to young Chris Rolle.
