Nassau, Bahamas - This Saturday, Grand Bahama residents can shop, sample healthy foods and possibly save their lives at the first ever Check Your Health fair at Solomon’s Queen’s Highway. For five hours, shoppers will have access to free glucose and blood pressure checks, flu shots and HIV rapid testing in one convenient location.

Representatives from various non-profit health groups will also be on hand to educate the public and raise awareness. During the event, the Cancer Society of The Bahamas will conduct a Pap smear drive,

Nassau, Bahamas, October 18, 2015—At Solomon’s Super Center’s 3rd Annual Customer Health Fair, shoppers took part in health screenings from free blood pressure checks to cholesterol and glucose testing, flu shots and free skin analysis. During the event, vendors handed out samples of healthy food and vitamin options available in store. The food retailer also teamed up with Friends of The Blood Bank to collect donations for the PMH Blood Bank.

Grand Bahama residents now have a convenient way to donate to Hurricane Joaquin relieve efforts thanks to a partnership with AML Foods Ltd and the Grand Bahama Red Cross.

Solomon’s Freeport on Queen’s Highway, Solomon’s Lucaya in the Seahorse Plaza and Cost Right Freeport now serve as collection sites for the non-profit organization as they seek to provide assistance to islands in the southern Bahamas.

So|omon’s agrees to assist approved groups in promoting their event using a format that we will determine - Facebook, e-blasts, website placement, in-store advertising, radio or newspaper.

Financial sponsorship will also be considered but is not guaranteed.
