Caribbean Export continues to support trade

Supporting regional trade is central to the work of the Caribbean Export
Development Agency (Caribbean Export). Caribbean Export in
collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale
Zusammenarbeit GmbH or GIZ in short, supported the participation of four
CARIFORUM companies to exhibit at the recently held Jamaica
International Exhibition (JIE) at the Montego Bay Convention Centre from
May 30 to June 1, 2019.

Nomad is a poetry collection of “stubborn grit,” said New York-based

Caribbean Records Robust Growth in the First Quarter of 2019

Spurred on by a 24 per cent rise in arrivals from the United States, the
Caribbean recorded a healthy 12 per cent increase in tourist arrivals
during the first quarter of 2019, according to statistics compiled by
the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). In updating the media on the

Today, on World Environment Day, the critically endangered largetooth
sawfish gained a lifeline as Caribbean countries unanimously agreed to
add the species to Annex II of the Specially Protected Areas and
Wildlife (SPAW) Protocol under the Cartagena Convention. Seventeen
member governments are thereby obligated to impose strict national
protections for the species and cooperate regionally to recover

Tamara Groeneveldt leads the list of St. Martin writers and workshop
leaders at the 17th annual St. Martin Book Fair, June 6 – 8, 2019, said
Shujah Reiph, the festival coordinator.
“Each year the book fair looks for a published writer from St. Martin to
represent the writers, aspiring writers, and authors of our whole
