Our New Providence node is back in service and all landline services
have been restored. We sincerely apologize to our customers who were
affected by an interruption in their fixed line and mobile voice
services. The disruption was the result of a critical fault which
occurred on June 29th, on our transmission ring between Grand Bahama and
New Providence. Our local technical teams and international teams
inclusive of C&W Communications and our vendor partners worked all
day and night, and the root cause of the issue was resolved earlier this
morning...

temporary failure of two of its generating assets over the weekend
exacerbated the load shedding underway on New Providence, extending the
times and multiplying the number of outages experienced across the

afternoon, with work proceeding to bring the other asset back online as

Work Commences on LPIA Runway Rehabilitation - Jun 17, 2019 - 10:50:20 AM
Today, major rehabilitation work will
begin on Runway 09/27 (soon to be Runway 10/28) and Taxiway India at
Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA). Nassau Airport
Development Company (NAD) has partnered with local firm Bahamas Hot Mix
to complete the capital project valued at just under $20 million
dollars.
The rehabilitation exercise will result in required upgrades to asphalt,
extending the life of the runways at LPIA. Runway End Safety Areas
(RESAs) will also be added to reduce the risk of damage to aircraft...

an extensive runway rehabilitation project on Runway 09/27 (soon to be

NAD Begins Demolition of Old Domestic /Int'l Terminal At LPIA - May 16, 2019 - 11:08:06 AM
Last week, Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) began a phased
demolition of the former domestic and international terminal building at
Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA). NAD’s Maintenance &
Engineering Department is spearheading the project and estimates a
10-week timeline for the initiative.

to Kevin McDonald, Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering at
NAD, the building will be demolished using heavy equipment and trucks to
