October a Good Time to Look at Your Money and Health - Oct 6, 2009 - 9:22:48 PM
Wow would you believe it’s October already? And before you realize it
Christmas will be here and 2009 would have passed you by. That’s why
it’s so important to take some time to reflect on what’s happening in
your lives and around you because your daily activities sometimes
distract us from what is really happening.
I think October gives us an opportunity with less than 100 days left in
the year to see what you have accomplished, reminisced on the past,
seriously consider your physical health, and diligently refocus your
dreams for the future. Ironically, October has been declared not only
youth’s month but also older persons month...

Retirement Planning - Two Retirement Risks You Must Consider & Understand About Your Retirement. - Sep 29, 2009 - 8:25:49 AM
There
are two risk factors that will impact significantly on your retirement
readiness and the quality of your retirement and it is important that
you fully consider and understand before you retire.
The first of these risk factor is the risk that you or your spouse
will outlive your retirement assets. So you need to ensure that you
have enough money for the time that you will have in retirement.
And this risk is compounded by
"Financial Market Risk."
This the risk that unexpected and sustained market declines will
undermine your investment portfolio's ability to produce the income
required to meet your needs...

Your September is on the way - Sep 22, 2009 - 9:49:23 AM
It’s back to school again - And you
guessed it - There is drama!
It all started slowly with a little
chatter about Anatol Rodgers, then Uriah Mcphee's air condition and
now it seem that everyday another school is joining the action as
discontentment spreads through the public school system. As to the
preparedness of the government’s schools for another school year.
This situation is not unique to this
Minister or administration but is a regular occurrence at this time
of year. And while you may find this situation alarming and I am
sure that your creative juices have already started on what you would
do if...

Retirement Planning - Retirement is Now - Sep 16, 2009 - 3:15:37 PM
It may surprise you hear that retirement is not in your distant future but retirement is now!
This is so because the choices you make today will affect you for a
lifetime and when you get to that time when you retire you will be
reaping the fruits of your decisions. And this is why you should be
paying attention to those choices you are making now because they are
forming the foundation on which you will be building the rest of your
life.
When I think about retirement, I think about retirement from the
perspective that retirement is simply being able to do what you want to
do when you want to do it without fear of running out of health and money...

Financial Planning - Five Numbers That Will Guarantee Your Financial Success! - Sep 9, 2009 - 12:48:32 PM
It’s amazing how people just love a good numbers game. Persons have
become so enraptured by the lottery that they are mistaking it for an
Assue- a local tradition where persons pooled their resources over a
period of time for the benefit of each participant.
Countless persons have educated their children, built houses, purchased
real estate, furniture and cars using this method of savings.
Unfortunately no matter what they tell you “playing numbers” is nothing
like an Assue. You have a better chance of drowning in your bathtub or
being struck by lightning than getting your money back when you play
that “numbers” game...

Four Things You Should Think About Sooner Rather Than Later - Sep 3, 2009 - 2:15:40 PM
Are graduating from college this year and looking forward starting your
new career? Congratulation and welcome to the real world and I'm
sure you are already noticing that it is certainly different from college
life.
You may not realize it yet but your financial needs and responsibilities
have also just changed and if you are going to control what happens
to you, now is a good time to get yourself a financial plan.
Your plan will allow you to focus on four very important parts of your

Financial Planning - Is Your Budgeting Allowing You To Thrive? - Aug 27, 2009 - 12:26:39 PM
"Failure to recognize possibilities is the most dangerous and common mistake one can make." - Astronaut, Mae Jamison
You must admit that the title of this article is a little strange,
because when you think of a budget you usually feel everything else but
thriving. You see a budget as a tool that is restricting allowing very
little room for growth or progress - When it is actually a tool that
allows you to thrive!
Your budget provides you with an updated snap shot of your current
financial position and by reviewing it on a regular basis you are able
to make the necessary adjustment to your financial planning on your
road to creating wealth. Allowing you to thrive! And it does this in
three ways...
