Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 19 year old male in hospital.

Reports are that on Sunday 16th August 2015 shortly before 5:00am, police received information that a male while in the area of a business establishment situated in Dundas Town, Abaco, was shot to his right hand by a male unknown to him with a firearm. He was taken to the Marsh Harbour Clinic by private vehicle and was seen by doctor. He is listed in stable condition.

Police in Abaco are investigating the death of a male whose body was found floating in waters on Scotland Cay, Abaco.

Reports are that on Wednesday 29th July 2015 shortly before 5:00pm, the body of an unknown caucasian male was found floating in waters on Scotland Cay, Abaco by a resident of the cay.

Officers responded to investigate and the body was taken to the Marsh Harbor Clinic where it was pronounced dead by doctor...

Bahamas police investigating 2 deaths on 2 separate cruise lines - Jun 3, 2015 - 5:05:36 PM

Police in Grand Bahama and Abaco are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two individuals on two separate cruise lines.

The first incident occurred on Sunday 31st May 2015 around 11:30am, police received information of a death on board a cruise line anchored off Castaway Cay. Reports are that a Caucasian male who was a crew member on board the cruise line was reported to have been found dead.

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Ministry of Financial Services and Local Government has announced that an assessment team has been dispatched to survey and assess the flood-damaged areas of Harbour Island and Eleuthera, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

These areas were impacted during a severe thunderstorm system, which passed through the Exuma Cays, New Providence, Eleuthera, Berry Islands, Abaco and their adjacent waters on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.

Abaco traffic fatality involving bicycle - Apr 25, 2015 - 10:43:42 AM

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating a traffic fatality that has left a 49 year old male resident of the Pigeon Peas, Abaco dead.

Reports are that on Friday 24th April, 2015 shortly after 9:00pm, police received information that a male travelling north on his bicycle on Don McKay Boulevard was struck by an unknown vehicle also travelling north but did not stop. EMS personnel were called to the scene and the victim was transported to the Marsh Harbour Clinic where he was later pronounced dead by doctor.

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating a shooting incident and attempted armed robbery of an off duty police officer.

Reports are that on Monday 28th March 2016, around 9:00pm, an off duty police officer while on Don McKay Blvd, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, at a parking lot, was accosted by a mask male armed with a handgun in an armed robbery attempt, the weapon was discharged which resulted in the officer receiving injuries. The culprit then made good his escape in nearby bushes. The officer was treated at the Marsh Harbour Clinic, with non-life threatening injuries and discharged...

Man stabbed in Abaco succumbs to injuries at PMH - Jan 2, 2016 - 4:47:16 PM

Police are reporting that the 38 year old male of Spring City, Abaco who was reportedly stabbed in the back on the 22nd December 2015 in Abaco by another male in the area of Don McKay Blvd has succumbed to his injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital around 10:00pm on Friday 1st January 2016.

A 20 year old male who is a relative of the victim is in police custody and is assisting police with their investigation into this matter.

Police in Abaco are investigating a traffic accident that has left two persons dead and two others seriously injured.

Reports are that on Thursday 24th December 2015 shortly after 12:00am, a traffic accident occurred on Don McKay Blvd involving a black 2003 Mercedes Benz with a lone driver and a white Honda Civic vehicle with five passengers.

Further reports are that both vehicle were travelling on Don McKay Blvd when the accident occurred and both vehicles were extensively damaged...

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a 38 year old male in a traffic accident.

Reports are that on Monday 14th December 2015 shortly after 9:00pm, police were called to an area in Hope Town where a Yamaha motorcycle and a 1996 Ford truck collided in the area of Big Hill Road. The male driver of the motorcycle received serious injuries and was later pronounced dead by doctor at the Marsh Harbour Clinic...

Grade 1 Custom Officer Jessel Cash age 42 years of Central Pines, Abaco and Custom Guard Allison Miller age 55 years of Marsh Harbour, Abaco were both arraigned on Wednesday 9th December 2015 before Magistrate Ancella William-Evans.

Both accuse pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail in the amount of $3,500.00 with one surety. The matter was adjourned to the 11th April 2016 for trial.
