This winter American is growing its presence in the Bahamas with a
return of year-round service between New York-LaGuardia (LGA) and Lynden
Pindling International Airport (NAS), Bahamas.
Starting December 22, American will operate a Saturday-only flight with

Commander Defence Force, Commodore Tellis Bethel, along with the

Responsible Governance, which is pushing for the drafted Fiscal
Responsibility Bill (FRB) to be tabled and debated ahead of the
customary parliamentary summer recess.

Migrants Apprehended in Inagua

Coral Harbour Base (RBDF): A US Coast Guard OPBAT
helicopter spotted 6 Haitian migrants on the North shore of Inagua
earlier this morning. Those migrants were airlifted to Matthew Town.
Several additional migrants were found in the nearby bushes by the local
community and law enforcement agencies, and Royal Bahamas Defence Force
personnel following a combined search of the island.
The migrants have all been turned over to Immigration officials for
further questioning. An ongoing search for additional migrants is
currently taking place. It is estimated that 120 may have landed.

Royal Bahamas Defence Force Marines apprehended a foreign fishing
vessel with fishery products onboard on Friday afternoon within the
Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.
While conducting a
routine patrol approximately one and a half miles southeast of Warderick
Wells Cay within the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, Defence Force
Marines assigned to the area, along with the Park Warden spotted a 63
foot American registered pleasure craft with six Americans onboard...
Haitian Migrants Charged before Courts

A total of 46 Haitian migrants were charged before the courts in Nassau
after they were apprehended in Bahamian waters on Tuesday past by
members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
The migrants, (38 males, 8 females) all pleaded guilty to illegal landing before Magistrate Carolyn Evans on Thursday.

island of Long Island, as 54 students were inducted into the Royal
Bahamas Defence Force’s (RBDF) Rangers Program, following a Passing out
The students represented the 2 high schools on the
island, namely; the N. G. M. Major High in Deadmans’s Cay and the North
Long Island High School in Simms. This latest addition in Long Island
brings the total to 23 schools in New Providence and 22 schools in the
Family Islands. The Rangers programme, which has been in existence since
1995 in the capital, has since expanded to include 6 Family Islands...

After over 2 weeks of military and law enforcement training for the
largest regional training exercise of its kind, the Royal Bahamas
Defence Force hosted hundreds of participants of Exercise Tradewinds
2018 from over 20 nations got a few hours to soak in and enjoy the
culture of The Bahamas.
With the official closing
ceremony for the Exercise taking place earlier in the day at HMBS Coral
Harbour, the excited members of security forces from England, United
Kingdom, France, Canada, Mexico, the United States and throughout the

Royal Bahamas Defence Force Marines apprehended two males suspected of having a quantity of drugs on Sunday afternoon.
conducting a routine search on Waderick Wells Cay, also known as the
Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, Defence Force Marines assigned to the
area, along with the Park Warden found a large quantity of suspected
marijuana on the Cay.
Two men, who were in the immediate vicinity with their disabled vessel,
