All Abaco Awards set for December 6th

The 2nd Annual Driftwood Association All Abaco Awards is scheduled for Sunday December 6th, 2015 in Abaco, Bahamas. We invite you to nominate outstanding Abaco natives in any of the following areas: (Education, Religion, Agriculture and Fisheries, Creative Arts, Business, Tourism and Hospitality and Youth , Sports and Culture.)

Please identify an individual whose leadership (particularly in the past year) has truly made an impact in your life and in the lives of others.

We invite you also to send in your nominations for this year's DRIFTWOOD MAN and WOMAN OF THE YEAR. (Bahamas) These Bahamians are not natives of Abaco but have been living in Abaco for a minimum of three years and have contributed significantly to the overall growth and development of the community or have excelled in three or more areas.

This year you are also asked to send in your nominations for five new areas:

1) DRIFTWOOD INTERNATIONAL MAN OF THE YEAR and DRIFTWOOD INTERNATIONAL WOMAN OF THE YEAR...These outstanding persons MUST be Non-Bahamians who have been living in Abaco for more than three years.

2) DRIFTWOOD ASSOCIATION LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD....These individuals must be native Abaconians who are over 60 years old who have numerous personal and community achievements.

3. PUBLIC SERVANT AWARD ---Outstanding individual in Public Service

4. PRIVATE SECTOR AWARD ---Outstanding individual from the Private Sector

5. OUTSTANDING MALE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

On Sunday December 6, 2015 all of our final nominees will be saluted and will receive honour for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
