TURKS and CAICOS ISLANDS -  On January 21, 2014 four prisoners received Anger Management Graduation certification, while a total of six prisoners qualified for the certificates, two had been released from prison and will receive their certificates later.

The Anger Management sessions run by Reverend John Malcolm ( far left in the photo), from the National Drug Unit, are a key element in the rehabilitation strategy at the Prison. Assistant Superintendent Meshelle Jennings  is the Prison’s co coordinator for such interventions. The graduates mentioned how the course had helped them in developing skills to deal with situations and have a system of coping when they need to put into practice the stepped program they had learned.

The Service extends its gratitude to Reverend Malcolm for his and his department’s continued support to the Prison. On January 28, 2014 two additional workshops in the Anger Management program will be delivered with an adult session commencing in the morning and a Juvenile session commencing in the afternoon.
