The Integrity Commission wishes to inform the public and, in particular, to remind Specified Persons in Public Life that June 30th 2014 is the deadline for filing Declaration under section 25 of the Integrity Commission Ordinance for the 2012- 2014 filing cycle. For this reason, and as part of its public education mandate to foster a better understanding of the statutory requirements on integrity and standard of conduct in public life, the Commission is pleased to present a series of Public Education Seminars throughout the Turks and Caicos lslands for Specified Persons in Public Life. The Seminars will be held from the 12th to 23th of May, 2014 in each of the inhabited lslands. A special session will be held in Grand Turk for the Honourable Members of the House of Assembly on May 16, 2014 at 2.30pm at the House of Assembly Conference Room

The primary purpose of these sessions is to inform and educate Specified Persons in Public Life on:

(i) the Vision, Mission, and constitutional and statutory mandate of the Commission;
(ii) the compliance requirements of the Integrity Commission Ordinance and Code of Conduct especially in relation to declarations, gifts, conflict of interests, etc ,and how to complete the Forms associated with these requirements, and
(iii) To generally deal with issues, questions and other concerns relating to the above and other matters of integrity in public life.

Also at these sessions, the commission will deliver to Specified Persons in Public Life, a package containing blank Form 1 for the next Declaration; Certificate of Compliance (where one has been issued ) with respect to the previous Declarations filed with the Commission, and other relevant materials to facilitate compliance.

The following persons are strongly advised to attend anv of these sessions:

1. All Specified Persons in Public Life as set out in Schedule L of the Integrity Commission Ordinance 2008.

2. Persons who have ceased to be Specified Persons in Public Life but have not vet filed their Exit Declaration.

The Schedule of the Public Education Seminars is as follows:

Monday May 12, 2014: North Caicos at the Kew Community Center; One Session at ll:30am-2:30pm.

Tuesday May 13, 2014: Middle Caicos at the Conch Bar Community Center; One Session at 9:30am- l2:30pm.

Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15, 2014: Grand Turk at the Anglican Dillon Hall; Moming Sessions at 9;00am-l2noon and Afternoon Sessions at 1:30pm- 4:30pm.

Friday May 16, 2014:
Special Afternoon Session in Grand Turk with Hon. Members of the House of Assembly at the House of Assembly Conference Room at 2:30pm -4:30pm

Monday May 19, 2014: South Caicos at the South Caicos Community Center; One Session 10:30am- 1:30pm,

Tuesday to Thursday, May 22-23,2014:
Providenciales at DEMA (DECR) Conference Room; Morning Sessions at 9:00am-12noon and Aftemoon Sessions at 1:30pm-4:30pm.
