Under the theme, “ ALL THINGS BAHAMIAN”, this one-day event comes at a perfect time during the Yuletide season, as Christmas in The Bahamas is always celebrated in grand style up to the New Years. In keeping with tradition, the day will be filled and focused with 20 Bahamian artisans showcasing excellence in our creative gifts, crafts, music, spices and entertainment with friends and family, but most of all a shopping experience that is uniquely Bahamian!

The Independence ballroom will be transformed into an up-scaled marketplace decorated with all things Bahamian at Christmas time to locals and our international visitors alike.

The goal is to give small business owners and artisans an opportunity to reach a broader range of audience locally and internationally, exposing products and a chance to show off their merchandise such as:

· Native hand woven straw creations of handbags, purses, portfolios, briefcase, etc.

· Exquisite handmade jewelry skillfully carved and handcrafted

· Delightful and unique handmade souvenirs that depict various aspects of the Bahamian culture and heritage and other novelty items

· And much, much more.

This event will provide a great opportunity to view the myriad of our Bahamian culture through our products, and will definitely appeal to discerning customers, those looking for that ‘special little something’ for themselves or as gifts for the one they love.

As it is essential that Bahamians offer only the best quality crafts so that customers believe they have received good value for dollars spent, this event will do that and more, encouraging potential entrepreneurs, raise the level of appreciation for Bahamian commodities made here in The Bahamas, secure a linkage among artisans, enhance and increase its output.

Event Coordinators, Ms. Chelsea Johnson and Ms. Monique Whyms…….. are working hard to make this event a success celebrating “ ALL THINGS BAHAMIAN”, which is sponsored by The Ministry of Tourism, Authentic Department and Islands of the World Fashion Showcase. At the event, coordinators and exhibitors will be hosting a toy drive for the Children’s Emergency Hostel. You are welcomed to bring a gift to show your support.
