FREEPORT, Grand Bahama Island - The passionate director and producer team of Liselle Harris and Camille deGregory will once again create a fantastical world as they stage “Alice in Wonderland” at the Regency Theatre Saturday, January 12th and Sunday January 13th. Showtime is 8pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday.

Liselle Harris is no stranger to the Regency Theatre and the stage, a member of the Freeport Players Guild since 1974. Show business is not a business to her but a “passion”. Liselle has participated in too many shows to count but all worth remembering.   After several years of starring roles, Liselle discovered another passion, Directing.  After a quick rest following her last very successful musical production, “Pippa” she took on the daunting task of bringing Alice in Wonderland to the Freeport stage.

Camille deGregory has worked on many plays such as Old Mother Hubbard, Young Playwriter’s Competition, The Prince of Egypt, Clue the Musical, Street Beats, Fox on the Fairway, Excess Baggage, Pippa the Musical and Fame.  This is her debut as Producer.

Tiffany Dennison and Christopher Russell round out the talents brought to this production.  Tiffany created and finalized sketch designs for the makeup of the myriad of characters. She provided YouTube videos of step by step make up application for each character so that each Actor would be able to learn to apply their own makeup for this production.  Tiffany has been a proud member of the Freeport Players Guild since age 9, has been an actress and director at various times. She has been involved in make up at the Theatre attending to every Guild production for the past 15 years.

Christopher Russell, son of Paulette Russell, an active member of the guild, spent many hours of his childhood at the Regency Theatre while his Mom performed on stage.  Chris has been involved in the theatre ever since returning from school in 2006.  He is stage manager, prop maker and has excelled in set design and construction.  His dedication, experience and passion can be seen in every scene of Alice in Wonderland, in the design of the Dodo, Duck and Gryphon mask to the flamingos (mallets), flowers and the first time ever on this stage, a human operated puppet completely constructed by Chris.  Martina Geiger designed the incredible costumes.  Her European background in modeling and high end fashion shows in the whimsical, fantastical costumes that bring the various characters to life.

Alice in Wonderland features the “All in the Family” aspect of community Theatre.  Alice is played by Sarah Knowles and her Father, Bradley is “the King”.  Denise deGregory is the Queen of Hearts assisted by her son, Tai Moss, Trumpeter/Hedge Hog.  Camille deGregory, Producer is her niece.  Sisters, Olivia and Katrina Dorsett  shine as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.   Brother and sister duo, Sharade Taylor and Shadee Taylor are Card/Guard/Puppeteer and Puppeteer respectively. The family of Andrea, Sterling and Bobby Stone are Andrea, Sound Tech, Sterling, Trumpeter/Hedge Hog and Bobby (Dad) is Set Construction.  Christopher Russell is Lead Set Design/Set construction/Stage Manager and his Mom, Paulette Russell is Front of House Coordinator.   Gail Woon (Mom) is Mock Turtle and Candice Woon is Back Stage Crew/Set Construction.  Kyle Redman-Carroll is the Mad Hatter and Emma Carroll, his sister is Set Construction.  Finally, Liselle Harris is Director and Rebecca Harris (daughter) is Backstage Crew/Puppeteer.
