Association of Bahamians in Canada host the Junkanoo Legends

This summer Canada came culturally alive and was filled with showcase of music, costumes and excitement from performances by The Bahamas Junkanoo Legends. On July 25 at Liberty Grand- Exhibition Place, beautiful costumes pranced and sweet music came alive at the King and Queen Gala. Junkanoo Legends astonished audiences under the theme 'Get Involved', which honoured Tyrone 'Dr. Off' Fitzgerald.

This Annual Caribbean Carnival Gala is a celebration of music and art, along with an elegant formal dinner and dance that brings a community of Caribbean entertainment lovers together.  

On August 2nd, Bahamas Junkanoo Legends took to the streets for the 47th annual Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival parade, better known as Caribana.

The Junkanoo Legends were seen by millions of locals, people that travel every year to experience this breath-taking street performance and by Bahamians that waved their flags proudly. Bahamas Junkanoo Legends had the crowd moving to the body thrilling, junkanoo rhythm. Spectators were eager to take photos and videos of this unique group.  

Bahamas Junkanoo Legends ended the summer with a "bang" and look forward to more opportunities to showcase the culture of their beautiful country, The Bahamas!
