Veronica Dorsett is an emerging artist from Grand Bahama Island, currently finishing up her studies for a Bachelor of Fine Art in Critical and Cultural Practice at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada.

"I'm entering my FINAL semester with the hope of graduating on May 5th, 2017, BUT I'm about $10K short of that goal. Any help, no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated!" said the artist.

"I've spent the last few years attempting to obtain scholarships as well as donations in order to fund my way through this degree; in the last 2.5 years I have received:

-2013 Ministry of Education $10,000 scholarship (unfortunately, this award was taken back after a 1-year deferral request was denied)
-2014 Grand Bahama Port Authority Top Achiever Scholarship ($2,000)
-2015 Fellowship of The Least Coin Young Women's Scholarship ($2,000 USD)
-2015 Christopher Foundation Scholarship Award ($1000 CAD)
-2016 Christopher Foundation Scholarship Award ($1000 CAD)

"I continued to apply for numerous scholarships both national and international as well as attempted to crowdfund through selling artwork along the way. I have just one more semester to go and any little bit will help! I have come this far but I need a helping hand to get across that finish line!

"I have a remainder of 18 credits left to complete my degree. A few of my more recent works can be seen below as well as on my personal website: vodorsett.com
