Freeport, Bahamas – Audiences are saying that the team that brought you the Bahamian Icon nominated play “Sarah’s Wedding” in 2014 has truly done it again! The hottest Grand Bahama theatre production of the summer, the New Rules of Sex and Dating was a big hit with Freeport audiences last weekend as they witnessed heart break, drama and scandal on stage at the Regency Theatre!

“The play was timely and relevant. The characters each brought to light real issues surrounding love, trust and serenity. The play was top notch from staging to sound effects to the amazing cast. Hats off once again Kerel! Definitely a must see!” said patron, Felisha McBride.

The New Rules of Sex and Dating was written and directed by Kerel Pinder, and produced by Alfred Anderson-Lewis, and co – produced by Preston Knowles. Under the mentorship of Gloria McGlone's Broadway experience and passion for the arts, McGlone played an instrumental role in the success of both Sarah’s Wedding and The New Rules of Sex and Dating.

Pinder states that she thought it was pertinent to have the same team that brought you Sarah’s Wedding to ensure that the New Rules of Sex and Dating would also have the potential to be another great success. This formula proved to deliver results.

"I thoroughly enjoyed. It was real, sobering and comical all at the same time. It was an awesome production!" said Donvaria Duncombe.

"This unique romantic comedy is filled with secrets, emotion, and laughter. Kerel Pinder did a spectacular job in not only directing the play, but also by once again writing one of the best scripts in Bahamian history,"  said producer Alfred Anderson.

The New Rules of Sex and Dating was released shortly after Pinder’s motivational memoir “The One Year Challenge,” was released, although the play is not based on the book. Pinder does shed light that the play was inspired by a lot of the themes presented in the book; themes that deal with love, dating, sex and relationships. She said she is passionate about delivering a message that captures the importance of growth and self discovery. She also feels that the best way to shed light on this transformation is through the display of relationships.

The cast and crew of New Rules of Sex and Dating would like to thank Keen i Media, Renu Day Spa, FOWLCO Import, Export, Long’s Custom Carpentry, Alfred Anderson, Preston Knowles Photography, Dragon Head Design Studio, Sawyers Fresh Market, Freeport Ship Services, The Copier Limited, and Imagine Graphics and Printing for their continued support.

The New Rules of Sex and Dating will head to Nassau August 19th – 21st to perform at College of the Bahamas Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available at Suntime Bahamas Marathon Mall at Serendipity – Mackey Street. General - $25 and VIP $30, RSVP on Facebook.
