Caribbean Gospel Artists prepare for Marlin Awards Weekend 2014

The Bahamas will once again play host to the 2014 Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards Weekend. This highly anticipated event will be held from July 24 to July 27th in Nassau, Bahamas and is expected to attract a cross section of recording artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, graphic artists, photographers, managers and booking agents from throughout the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, Africa and the United States.

The weekend will include a series of events including Marlin Summit, Marlin Industry Workshops and Industry Luncheon, Marlin Fest Concert and will culminate with the hosting of the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards Ceremony.

Caribbean Gospel artists from a variety of countries submitted copies of their latest recordings for nomination consideration. Artists represent a number of countries including the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Tortola, St. Kitts & Nevis, St.Lucia, St. Martin, St. Croix USVI, St. Thomas USVI and the United States.

Seven (7) industry professionals have agreed to serve as judges to determine nominations and select winners for this year's awards. Judges represent the Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Martin, St. Kitts & Nevis and the United Kingdom. Official nominations are expected to be announced on Tuesday March 18th 2014.
