(Trailer) Islands of Life to screen throughout The Bahamas

Islands of Life, a feature-length documentary film released in late 2011 that took 3 years in production and was a cooperative effort by Bo Boudart Productions and the Bahamas National Trust, as well as other Bahamian conservation groups my well be one of the most  important films of our time when it comes to conservation, economy, tourism and sustainability in The Bahamas.

The film, narrated by
Learie Peter Callender (from Tobago) and sound scored by Tony Silva shows the beauty and wildlife diversity of the Bahamas archipelago, and ongoing conservation efforts by citizens, scientists, and volunteers. It documents peoples efforts to study, educate and protect flamingos, turtles, parrots, conch, lobster, crab, grouper, and other wildlife not only for the benefit of Bahamians, but for all visitors to appreciate. This film is a must for our schools, not only in The Bahamas, but throughout the world.

"We especially hope this film will inspire others around the world to take better care of the natural resources that surround us all, as earth itself is just an island in space," said Bo Boudart, Producer who told TheBahamasWeekly.com that the Bahamas National Trust is planning a country-wide screening tour to various park locations on the family islands. 
There will be a Summer Video Tour of Islands of Life that the Bahamas National Trust staff will be taking to the family Islands that will show the film on the big screen including Abaco, Eleuthera, Andros, Grand Bahama, Cat Island, Exuma, Long Island and New Providence.  Details will be announced soon on the BNT website www.bnt.bs. Islands of Life was screened last year at the inaugural FLIFF on Location: Grand Bahama Island component of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival where it won an Independent Spirit Award. It also screened at last year's Bahamas International Film Festival in Nassau, and the Chagrin Falls Documentary Film Festival in the United States.
