Nassau, Bahamas - On Saturday, May 9, the Bahamian capital vibrated to the rhythm of the prominent Cuban group Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco who were invited to close the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, the first of its kind celebrated in this territory.

The Cuban group was invited by the event’s organizing committee and was part of a group of bands that played in the city last Saturday night.

The presence of Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco reaffirms the expansion and development of the cultural cooperation between Cuba and The Bahamas, which is experiencing its best moment and gives continuity to an exchange that will have its highest peak in 2015, next month of July, with the presence of The Bahamas in the Festival of the Caribbean as Country Guest of Honour.
