Bahamian author and diplomat presents new book to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Joudi

Nassau, Bahamas – “Leadership and Accountability in Government,” a newly written book by Dr Richard C. Demeriette was recently presented to senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Honourable Minister, Fred Mitchell, and Ambassador to the UAE and the State of Qatar, H.E. Tony Joudi, both received their copies from the author who has served 40 years in the public sector.

“The timing of this book is perfect for the discussions that are currently taking place in our country,” said Demeriette who is very connected to the subject and added, “Leadership Accountability In Government comes not only from my diverse career experience but also my heart.”

Currently, Demeriette is the Chairman of The Bank of The Bahamas and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Bahamas Branch, founder of his accounting company and sits on corporate and non-profit boards. He is a Certified Public Accountant, former Auditor General of The Bahamas and a former Diplomat who has held many posts serving The Bahamas. He was awarded a PhD in Public Sector Accounting in 2003 and authored, “The Consummate Diplomat.”
