Bahamas Chamber AGM and Elections set for May 16th

Nassau, Bahamas - Please be advised that the Annual General Meeting & Election of Officers and Directors for the Chamber’s 2013-2014 Administrative Year is scheduled for Thursday 16th May, 2013 at 11:30 am at The British Colonial Hilton. Immediately following the AGM we will have our Meet the Minister luncheon with The Honorable Ryan Pinder, Minister for Financial services. Mr. Pinder will address the Government’s initiatives in Financial Services as well as arbitration and dispute resolution.

The proposed agenda will be as follows:

Confirmation of a Quorum of Voting Member

Minutes of the 2012 Annual General Meeting

 Financial Report

 Election of Officers & Directors

Chairman’s Report

 Any Other Business

As per the Memorandum and Articles of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation, a Nominating Committee has been established to review and assemble a full slate of candidates for the position of Officers and Directors for the upcoming administrative year.

Enclosed you will find the a blank nomination ballot
/public/MediaFiles/AGM BALLOT.pdf for any submission from members along with a Proxy Form
/public/MediaFiles/Proxy.pdf .

Further nominations for the various positions on the Board will be accepted from this point forward as well as from the floor at the AGM, provided such Nominee(s) have been consulted and agreed to stand for election. Please commence the submission of any nominations ballots to the chamber via email

Further, as only financial members will be allowed to nominate and vote, please ensure that your financial status is current with the Chamber.
