She's come a long way in a very short time!  Shavon Nottage of Grand Bahama Island is basking in the afterglow of her international runway debut at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S15 in New York. MBFW's exclusive and invitation only events take place twice annually in New York, Berlin and Istanbul and once a year in Australia and Miami, and features style, beauty, supermodels and celebrities.

Eighteen year old Shavon modeled for Koonhor and Park Choonmoo, on September 6th and 7th, 2014.

Shavon wrote the following on her facebook page after the hustle and bustle of fashion week was over, " #NYFW is complete and I survived!! Lol I have never been so busy and tired in my life, but it was the Best!  I'm proud to say that I am accomplishing my dreams and making my family proud. Thanks to all for the love and support. I truly appreciate it!! I am excited about what God had planned for me. Stay tuned...the best is yet to come and please keep me in your prayers."

It was only in 2012 that Shavon won Miss Junior Grand Bahama; and in 2013 she was named Miss Teenager Bahamas;  where she traveled to Panama and came 5th overall in Miss Teenager Universe, a huge accomplishment for Bahamian pageantry.  In late 2013 she entered the inaugural Elite Model Look Bahamas competition.

When thebahamasweekly.com asked Shavon about her experience she responded, " The experience was one in a life time!! Watching my dreams and prayers come to life. I met so many people and made so many friends. It was a really busy time, but I enjoyed it because I knew that's what I signed up for. I took advantage of every opportunity and I stayed focus and did my best because I know I had people counting on me such as my agents. I wanted to make my mother Shirley Pinder and father Hailon Nottage proud."

Shavon is represented by Elite Latin and South America and by Tessa Lightbourne in The Bahamas.
