Nassau, The Bahamas - After one month of planning, 2 shows, and $5,000.00 in donated funds, the Fashion for Foundation Benefit is back for a second year showcasing collections by Cardell McClam, Harl Taylor BAG, Ria Georgina, Leah Eneas, DKLYPSE Swimsuits, a special clothing collection by POJ Designs and many others. According to Shelby McPhee, Executive Producer of The F4F Benefit, this year’s show is a “special” one. He says “while we are extremely proud of last year and our great accomplishment, this year our heart is even more invested as we aim to raise money to fund a building project that we’ve undertaken for the children’s shelter. He went on to say “this year with a renewed passion and a stronger support system we’ve invested more into staging, we’ve added more lights and increased staffing to make the overall guest experience a more enjoyable one.” In addition to a better experience the coordinators of this year’s F4F Benefit will also launch, The Hearts on Fire Foundation, a new community non profit organization in hopes of creating sustainable programs to tackle and address the social issues in society today. According to Yamease Swain, Director of Programs “we understand that each person must do what they can to make a positive impact within the community, and so with that understanding our organizations goal is to channel our time, talents and resources into creating that positive impact and making an even greater difference.” The Fashion for Foundation Benefit Show is an annual high-voltage fashion show in aid of the Ranfurly Homes for Children proudly supported and sponsored by The Water & Sewerage Cooperation, BTC, Colombian Emeralds International, AmarKai Designs, thebahamasweekly.com, MOJOS and Moss Computers. There will be live performances by Willis Knowles from Willis and The Illest Reggae Band and Sammie Star. The show will conclude with an after party immediately following at Lukka Kairi Restaurant & Bar located Woods Rodgers Walk, Bay Street. While the lights go up and the designers get set, the Bahamas must wait in anticipation for the show which is set for June 28th, 2015 at the British Colonial Hilton.
