After launch the "Material Girl" line with
her 15 year old daughter Lourdes
in 2010, Madonna along with her partner, the Iconix Brand Group Inc
is about to launch
the "Truth or Dare by Madonna" brand. The new 'global lifestyle brand'
line will include footwear, handbags, intimates, accessories and fragrances, Iconix Brand Group of New York said in a statement.
"Over the past several years, I have been approached countless times to
create my own brand," said Madonna in the statement, adding that "the
timing is right" to embark on the project.
Her target market this time is women aged 27-50. The Material Girl line is exclusively sold at Macy's but Truth or Dare by Madonna is said to have a wider reach.
"MG Icon will exclusively partner with Macy's
for the initial launch in 2012 while launching simultaneously worldwide.
In 2013, the brand will be widely distributed at leading department
stores in the United States."
