Miss Universe Jamaica Kerrie Baylis for TCI Fashion Week

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Jamaican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2013 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant has been added to the model pool for TCI Fashion Week 2014.

Kerrie Baylis is an investment banker who holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Surrey with a passion for modeling, fashion, arts and entertainment. She is only the fourth woman in Jamaican history to the take the Miss Jamaica World/Universe double. Whilst competing at the Miss Universe 2013 Pageant in Moscow, Russia, she was 1 of 27 (out of the 86) contestants chosen to model for world renowned Lebanese designer Tony Ward’s Couture Fashion Show at Mercedes-Benz Russian Fashion Week.

Full of excitement Kerrie exclaimed, “I am extremely excited for TCI Fashion Week. It will be my first time in the Turks and Caicos and I really can't wait for the experience. When I was invited by the producer and the team I jumped at the chance to be a part of the first ever TCI Fashion Week.”

Turks and Caicos Islands Fashion Week 2014 will take place March 26th – 29th with a Fashion Party at Zanzi Bar and Restaurant on Friday March 28th hosted by TCI’s Bianca Harvey featuring DJ Shakes and Prime DJs, and a Designers’ Grand Runway Fashion Show on Saturday, March 29th at Brayton Hall hosted by America's Next Top Model Bianca Golden featuring Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Snwanza Adams, Miss Universe Jamaica Kerrie Baylis and Supermodel Sessilee Lopez.

TCIFW is the Turks and Caicos’ premier fashion, design and style event enhancing all aspects of fashion events in the Turks and Caicos Islands by featuring fine local, regional and international designers and boutiques presenting exquisite garments and accessories, supporting local schools alternative career programs, highlighting local culture, history and entertainment, promoting business generation, facilitating workshops, hosting exhibitions of art and luxury products and services and exciting the interest of regional and international media-houses.

Standing at 5 feet 10 inches, Kerrie has put her height and good looks not only to pageantry, but also modeling. To name a few, Kerrie has featured in Russia’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Caribbean Fashion Week, Mission Catwalk, The Moda Collection, Campari poster girl and a campaign for Syiim Swimwear whilst still occasionally gracing the runway for various prominent local Jamaican designers such as Lubica and Keneea Linton. Kerrie was recently asked to be the face of Shankara Natural Skin Care line where she is to feature in all major Ad Campaigns later this year and showcased in the launch of MAC Cosmetics 2014 Spring Collection.
