The Ray Vincente line made its first appearance in The Bahamas when designer Raymond Brown partnered with the mens' modeling competition, Manhunt Bahamas in its inaugural year in Grand Bahama Island, and in November the designer made his return, but this time to Nassau to debut at Islands of the World Fashion Showcase.

The collection is far from typical and entitled, Ray Vincente Unleashed!  focuses on removing boundaries of traditional menswear to explore the freedom of dressing without boundaries. The color schemes feature the Ray Vincente basics of black and white complimented with Caribbean influenced colors of blue and green representative of the greenery and the water found throughout the island. Fabrics are heavy on cotton and denim. Key features are blazers with contrasting sheer sleeves, fitted jumpsuits, and hooded trench coats.

The designer has used Bahamian models, David Dion, and Pedro Mejias in some of his campaign images, and both walked in his show at IWFS. "I enjoy working with Pedro and David because they are good at what they do and bring a great masculine sex appeal to the clothing," said Brown. "David with his strong face lines and ability to bring a wonderful grace to everything he does compliments the line well. Pedro brings such an energetic vivacious presence and really exudes confidence in all he does. These characteristics bring life to the clothing!"

Ray Brown has been designing since 1983 as a freelance designer for public and private individuals.  With a degree in Fashion Merchandising from ICS of PA, he has completed course work in fashion design, illustration, and production at FIT of NYC, NY.  In 2009 he launched his own collection for menswear, Ray Vincente Eclectic! Labeled his main line, Ray Vincente Eclectic! Menswear is for the adult male that likes to be stylish, individualistic, and comfortable and is influenced by Eastern, European and American Urban cultures.

Ray Brown currently serves as the Vice President of NY Men’s Fashion week and on the Advisory Board for the Fashion Design program for Mercer County Community College, West Windsor, NJ. He is also the Fashion Coordinator for NY Black Expo.
