Designer Kazz Forbes returned from Montreal,
Canada in August where he attended the Miss Earth Canada Pageant as the organization’s
Official Swimwear Designer and also comprised the panel of judges. Miss
Earth Canada Pageant events took place August 17th – 21st
2011.
Ronaldo Soriano Trono, national director
for the Miss Earth Canada Organization, said: “I first met Kazz in
2008, as an aspiring photographer and model working in Montreal. The
following year, our Miss Earth Canada 2007 winner, Jessica Trisko, won
the title of Miss Earth 2007 in the international competition and we
asked Mr Forbes to photograph her for our yearly Miss Earth Canada magazine.
He did, and we were impressed with the results.
Since that time, Mr. Trono said he
has remained in touch with Forbes. “I have been following his career
with interest. When I found out about his first fashion show in Manhattan,
New York, under his new company, Saint George Fashion House, I immediately
thought of asking him if he would like to collaborate with the Miss
Earth Canada Organization and be our official designer for the swimwear.
So I did and he agreed. I was ecstatic, excited and proud to collaborate
with the intelligent Mr. Kazz Forbes.”

Kazz Forbes sat on the judges panel for Miss Earth Canada aside from having his swimsuits featured in the pageant. Forbes hails from South Caicos, and has Bahamian heritage.

Forbes said that he was humbled and
honored for being asked so early in his career to create a line for
such a renowned organization.
Kazz Forbes
hails from
South Caicos, and has Bahamian heritage. He
endeavours to establish a first - a Turks and Caicos Islands designer
clothing brand – for distinguished and fashion conscious clientele
and visitors of the Turks and Caicos Islands ‘Beautiful by Nature’
shores to the international market.
He said, “The line is in keeping
with the trademark aesthetic theme of SGFH, but giving the Miss Earth
Canada contestants that pizzazz to show off their physique during the
swimsuit competition. It is a line full of earth and feminine. The
theme chosen this year 'Lady of Earth' really shows in the design. I
made the swimwear with a floral and animal print and used kiwi green as
an accent colour. Everyone loves it!"
