St. Georges High School fashion design program to holds Fashion Show

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - On Monday March 14TH - Friday March 18th The students of grade 12 fashion design program of St. Georges High will be launching their 2016 design collection showcasing their designer pieces. Their pieces will be on live mannequins and the front foyer/ office will be designed by the students showing their store layout.

The idea of this fashion showcase is to broadcast the future fashion designers and to get their designer names out there as a come up to their success.

The theme of this event is “Making a fashion statement through experimental design” Keep that In Mind as you will be blown away!

Commenting on the occasion, young upcoming designer Natandra Lewis commented on her line Tandra Style saying, “Tandra'Style is a newly launched Bahamian fashion line that designs cocktail wear catering to women between the ages of 18-25 and caters in young women who likes to look good and when they wear this brand they will feel confident in what they are wearing plus feeling comfortable and stylish.”

“From a very young age, I wanted to be in the fashion industry. I wanted to be a model, but then I decided I want to make the clothes that the models wear. So that's when I made up in my mind to pursue a career in fashion and design.”

Also commenting was young upcoming designer Ashley Wilchcombe who noted “I want to be a designer so that I can make clothes to help the needy. To make life much easier and to make a living out of being a fashion designer. Also because I have a strong passion for making clothing. My goal is to make my name known all around the world and provide clothing to anyone in need. Also my goal is to make people feel confident inside of their skin and to love themselves.The clothing line is called A&A`s. I always dreamed of opening my own company since she the age of 10 years old.”

Tickets are on sale for $2 which will give you a pass for the whole week to enjoy this extravaganza

You will get a chance to learn about each designer and how they came up with their design.
