We've been following the modeling career of former Mr. Bahamas, Kendrick Kemp for years now, and he's always moving and shaking in the modeling world. Even though he's been traveling a lot to Toronto, Canada for well over a year, he still returns home to oversee his annual initiative, the Fashion For a Cause event, which supports the Bahamas AIDS Foundation.

Just recently Kemp walked for several designers in TOM* SS16 (Toronto's Men's Fashion Week) held August 19th - 21st, 2015 which showcases the best in established and emerging menswear designers in Canada and from around the world. Kemp wore Christopher Bates, Lafaille, Hip & Bone, and Swam.

Newer to our pages is Bahamian model, Christoph Symonette who, after viewing his modeling portfolio, has a very wide range of looks. This is likely why he walked for ten designers at TOM* wearing Lafaille, Thomas Henry, Phillipe Dubuc, Just Ta, Kenya X, Nuvengo, Pedram Karimi, Hip & Bone, Parloque, and Shanon Pamaong.

TheBahamasWeekly.com caught up with Cristoph to ask how he's been adapting to life in Canada.

"Ive been living in Toronto for two years now, and recently signed to Push Management Inc.," said Symonette who has been modeling since he was 17 years and hails from Nassau.  He's walked in Islands of the World Fashion Week,  was a contestant in Manhunt Bahamas, and was seen in the BTC campaign, Divas and Dudes.

"The transition to life and work in Canada can be done by anyone," said Symonette. "It all comes down to how willing, determined and committed you are to the goal. It seem difficult looking from the outside, but once you actually try - its pretty easy. We need to think outside the Bahamian box and try new things, and never take no for an answer."

Says Kemp, "We're just proud to be men from The Bahamas, doing our thing, and heading to supermodel status."

We will definitely be following the careers of these two heroic young men!
