Screenplay submissions to the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) announces its call for entries for the 6th BIFF Filmmaker Residency Program, to be held December 10- 17, 2009.
The aim of the program is to support the Bahamian and Caribbean filmmakers by providing a chance to present projects to established producers, directors, writers, etc. through a series of one-on-one meetings. This intensive program is designed to foster dialog, to build lasting connections and to offer opportunities for growth.
The emphasis is on critical feedback, practical advice, and a clear view of the next steps in the filmmaking process, tailored to the individual project.
Up to six projects, with a special emphasis on first and second time filmmakers, will be selected. Those accepted, will be notified by October 22nd. BIFF will not be responsible for filmmakers travel or accommodations however will assist with requests. For more information please visit our website at

APPLICATION MATERIAL AND PROCEDURE
Please send three (3) copies of the following:
- Script
- Biography of screenwriter and/or director
- Film synopsis (no longer than 1 page)
- Film treatment (no longer than 3 pages)
- A 1-page character description / breakdown of central characters. (No longer than 1 page)
- A 1-page biography of the writer - Copy of previous work if applicable, e.g. short or feature film
- Budget if applicable
