Bahamas International Film Festival reveals 2015 competition Jury and Session Panelists

Nassau, Bahamas – The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF), this year celebrating its 12th anniversary, today announced the members of the jury that will preside over the competition categories at the Festival, which takes place December 1st – 12th. The jury was revealed today by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool.

The four competition categories at BIFF are Spirit of Freedom: Narrative; Spirit of Freedom: Documentary; New Visions; and Short Film. Jury members are:

Spirit of Freedom: Narrative & Documentary

Stephen Bereaux – Director of Policy & Regulation of Bahamas’ Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority.

Tivi Magnusson – Director/Producer

Kate Perotti – Director/Producer/Writer/Cinematographer/Photographer/Editor

New Visions: First Look

Rickard Gramfors – Project Manager/Film Historian/DVD Company CEO/Journalist/Musician

Dorian Missick – TV, Film and Theater Actor

Matthew Shreder – Co-founder and Managing Partner of Concourse Media

Short Film

Martina Carroll – Locations Scout and Manager

Bentley Kyle Evans – Writer/Producer/Director/Actor

Kate Perotti – Director/Producer/Writer/Cinematographer/Photographer/Editor

Additional categories out of competition are World Cinema Narrative and World Cinema Documentary; Caribbean Spotlight Narrative and Caribbean Spotlight Documentary; Comedy; and non-Jury Short Films.

The Festival will be hosting a Screenwriters’ Residency Program and a variety of panels covering a number of topics including Development & Production, Pitch & Writing Career, Music & Film, Film & Finance, Woman in Film, Editing and Art of Collaboration. A Master Class in Music session will also take place.
