Freeport, Bahamas - Presentation of the "Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter Award - September 2014" went to Pastor Ricardo Davis of The House of Prayer Ministries, Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama, at the weekly luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Lucaya on Tuesday afternoon at the Ruby Swiss Restaurant.

At about 6:30pm on Saturday, 27th September 2014, a female resident of Heritage Sub-Division was driving her dark green Dodge Caravan along Santa Maria Drive in South Bahamia, accompanied by her young daughter, when the engine shut off, leaving them stranded at the side of the road.
Shortly afterwards, Pastor Ricardo Davis drove by and noticed the woman and her daughter in distress.

He stopped and attempted to re-start the engine, but was unsuccessful.
He then assisted the duo to their residence, got a rope and returned to South Bahamia accompanied by the woman's husband, where he towed the broken down vehicle all the way to Eight Mile Rock, where it was left at a garage to be repaired.

As a result of this compassionate act on the part of Pastor Davis, he was nominated as the " Most Courteous Driver of the Quarter-September 2014".
He was presented with an inscribed mahogany plaque, along with a gift certificate for a full tank of gasoline.
