Nassau, Bahamas - This Saturday,
April 30th
, the Rotary Club of Southeast Nassau (RCSEN) is holding their
FIRST Annual Fun Walk and Fitness Challenge
at 6 am in aid of various charities and a new HPV Testing Machine for the PMH – Princess Margaret Hospital.
The Walk begins at “Rotary Park”, Long Wharf, West Bay Street to Goodman’s Bay and back. Individuals or Teams may enter. Registration is $15.00 per person.
Guidelines for Team Participation: Walkers are encouraged to form relay teams among their respective Company, Civic Organization, Church, Etc. Teams must consist of a minimum of 5 participants. Teams are required to identify themselves by T-Shirt with the company logo or name. There will be no age category for this event. The overall team winner will receive the floating trophy for a period of (1) One Year. To win the challenge, your team must have the highest amount of individual participants finishing the walk.
This year, the RCSEN has joined in on the collaboration with Rotary, Inner Wheel and other partners to purchase a PHV (Human Papilloma Virus) Testing Machine for the Princess Margaret Hospital. The Machine will allow for testing to help detect Cervix Cancer in women (that is on the rise in The Bahamas).
