Grand Bahama, The Bahamas - The Rotaract Club of Freeport is hosting a “
70’s Costume Party” on Saturday,
December 10th, 2011 at Club L' Utopia.
The proceeds from the event will go towards providing breakfast for the
primary schools throughout Grand Bahama and eventually the family
islands. We believe that one of the greatest services that we can do is
pour into upcoming generations; and through this service, our aim is to
teach kids that, “Breakfast is still the most important meal of the day”,
and to encourage healthy eating lifestyles. Additionally, this venture
would ensure that those children who are less fortunate would have at
least one hot meal.
The Club also supports “Ribbons of Hope,” “Keep Grand Bahama Clean” and frequents the Home of the Aged. The Columbus House for Boys and Girls has also received provisions and services from Rotaractors in the form of school uniforms, books, haircuts/braids, or simply by contributions of our time. Assisting in any possible way we can, thriving to make our community a better place.
The Rotaract Club of Freeport is a non-profit service club that was established in 2002 and prides itself
in helping out the community. Our club whose motto is “ Service above
Self ” consists of young professionals ranging from ages 18-30 who
strive to make a difference in our community by providing outstanding
service projects. As we are a non-profit organization, we rely solely on sponsors and donations. We strongly believe the saying that “unity is strength”, So we the Rotaract Club of Freeport are inviting you to be a part of this extended unity by contributing your assistance in making this event a success.
