Annual Burns Night Supper Helps Support Student Education

Nassau, The Bahamas - On January 25th, the Rotary Club of East Nassau (RCEN), one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in The Bahamas, hosted it's second annual Burns Supper to celebrate the life and work of Scottish poet Robert Burns and to enjoy traditional culture and cuisine including Scottish bagpipes and haggis as well as a whisky tasting featuring a fine variety of single malts. The highly anticipated event also raises funds for the East Nassau Rotary Club Foundation which was formed in 1995 and currently provides partial scholarships for 10 Bahamian students to continue their education both at home and abroad.

The Rotary Club of East Nassau meets at 1:00PM every Friday at the Nassau Yacht Club on East Bay Street. Find out more information about the club at www.rcen.org and follow on Facebook and Twitter at Rotary East Nassau.
