Nassau, Bahamas – As hurricane relief efforts continue, and with the desperate need to restore normalcy to Bahamians in the Southern Islands affected by Hurricane Joaquin, The Myers Group of Restaurants has reached out to lend corporate support to the Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas in its hurricane relief efforts with a donation of $10,000.

As Hurricane Joaquin decimated the Southern Islands of the Bahamas, the brands under the Myers Group of Restaurants, including KFC Nassau, Dunkin’ Donuts Bahamas, Luciano’s of Chicago, Anthony’s Paradise Island, Pizza Hut Nassau, Johnny Rockets and Quiznos Bahamas, joined forces to assist with the recovery of the affected islands, as well as directly rendering immediate help to Bahamians affected by the hurricane through the relief efforts of the Bahamian Rotary Clubs.

“In the midst of devastation and great loss for many in the Southern Islands of our nation, the call for corporate support was necessary,” said Ash Henderson, Director of Marketing. “The Myers Group of Restaurants is proud to contribute $10,000 to The Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas. As a member of the Bahamian community we were unable to stand by and not render assistance, and we could think of no better partner for relief efforts than Rotary, who provide substantial and practical relief aid that will go a long way towards relieving the suffering and frustration of so many Bahamians, and their families, who have been impacted by the hurricane.”

On October 16, The Myers Group of Restaurants presented the donation check in the amount of $10,000 to Rotary. As Rotary’s hurricane relief efforts continue to provide immediate aid, as well as long-term relief and restoration efforts to those who suffered unimaginable losses, one hundred percent of the funds donated will aid the hundreds of Bahamian victims impacted by the devastation of the hurricane.
