We now provide FREE listings of events, achievements, and news for ANY Rotary Group within The Bahamas. This also includes Rotaract and Inner Wheel Clubs.

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

Rotary International President Flies In to Celebrate!

Nassau, Bahamas – Rotary in The Bahamas marks their 50th year anniversary on January 19, 2012 when the Nassau Club was formed and since then, New Providence, Abaco and Eleuthera have seen other clubs formed and a month of various events have been planned. The Patron of the Ball is DPM and Special Guest is Kalynan Banerjee.

Kick off celebrations start on Friday, January 6, 2012 with an Anniversary Ball that will be held at Atlantis where Rotary International President Kalnan Banerjee is the keynote speaker and guest. This is a significant moment for Rotary in The Bahamas to have an international president attend a key event. The next morning he will fly to Haiti to help Rotarians there celebrate...

Rotary Club of Lucaya launch Community Service Challenge - Get Involved!‏

Freeport, Bahamas - The Rotary Club of lucaya will launched their 25,000 Community Service Challenge on November 8th, 2011 but anyone can still get involved as the challenge runs until March 6th, 2012. Under the theme “Reaching out to Transform our Community.”

" ‘Service Above Self’ is the motto Rotarians live by. As the premier service organization in the world, it is only fitting that we lead our island, and by extension the country, in providing service ," said Club president, Cassietta McIntosh.

"We wish to encourage the community in Grand Bahama to give of their time. We want persons to contribute to the island wide goal in a manner that will allow us to keep track of hours given."

Rotaract Club of Eleuthera Celebrates the Spirit of Giving at Tarpum Bay Library

Eleuthera, The Bahamas - The Rotaract Club of Eleuthera partnered with the Tarpum Bay Library in their 4th Annual Christmas Party for the children of Tarpum Bay and surrounding settlements. During this event, children received a surprise visit from Santa Claus who read popular holiday stories and gave each child a gift bag filled with books, toys, and candy. Members of the Rotaract Club of Eleuthera served as volunteers for face painting, monitoring the bouncy castle, and serving food.

The Rotaract Club of Eleuthera and Tarpum Bay Library have partnered on other initiatives throughout the year to encourage youth literacy. For example, the club organized a Trick or Read event for Halloween where children received school supplies and treats for playing reading games...

Rotary Club of Eleuthera's Roof Repairs to Emma Cooper Elementary School‏

Eleuthera, Bahamas - "When it was discovered soon after Irene had passed over Eleuthera that there was major roof damage to the Emma Cooper Elementary School in Palmetto Point and the Rotary Club of Eleuthera and and Tippy's Restaurant jumped into action. With only a few days until the first day of school there was no time to waste. With 1 day to spare. the roof was completed with materials and labor provided by Tippy's and the Rotary Club of Eleuthera.
