The Bahamas wedding promotion “Bahamas’ 16 Islands Wedding Invitation Campaign has won top honors at The Travel Awards in London for the ‘Most Innovative Marketing.’

The award ceremony which took place in the glamorous ballroom of the Intercontinental London Park Lane on Thursday 21 March 2013 and judged by some of the leading lights in the travel, creative and marketing industries is recognize as a must for any agency or marketing department serving the travel sector.

And the Bahamas wedding promotion which was designed in 2012 to raise the profile of the Bahamas as a wedding and honeymoon destination seem to have done just that by winning this top industry award.

Maria Grazia Marino, District Sales Manager at the Bahamas Tourist Office, said: “We have been thrilled with the results of the campaign which has really put The Bahamas on the map for weddings and honeymoons.

***image2*** The wedding promotion which gave sixteen UK couples the chance to win the wedding of their dreams on one of the Bahamas 16 main islands in 16 simultaneous ceremonies on 16 May 2012.

The London based marketing agency Fox Kalomaski Crossing created the winning campaign on behalf of the Bahamas Tourist Office and its Chief Executive Officer, Gary Jacobs, reacting to the award said:  “We are delighted to receive this special recognition for our Bahamas 16 Islands Wedding Invitation which broke new ground in raising awareness of The Islands of The Bahamas as a go-to destination for romance.”
