The Free National Movement and I share deep concern for the welfare of Bahamians adversely affected by Hurricane Joaquin and we are implore the government to ensure that NEMA and all of its agencies and partners are actively involved and proactive in addressing the needs of residents as we go through this difficult period.

My party pledges our unwavering support to the government and non-government efforts to protect life, property and livelihood of residents. We also support future efforts to restore normalcy in the aftermath of this hurricane.

Moreover, we encourage Bahamians to stay updated through media reports, take all precautionary methods to minimize damagesand adhere to all warnings.

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time.
