Nassau, Bahamas - The following is a letter send to the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas by the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) leader, Branville McCartney:

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

On the 26th March 2015, at a lecture at the College of the Bahamas with journalism students, you encouraged a call for a debate between Dr. Hubert Minnis, the undersigned and your good self. Your words were that the debate will determine who the better of the three (3) is. Your invitation to a debate is hereby accepted.

Indeed, I look forward to the debate being held at the College of the Bahamas prior to the end of May 2015.

The Democratic National Alliance has advanced the need for public debates since 2012, the year of the last general election. In light of this, the Democratic National Alliance would be willing to sponsor this debate.

I do look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience in this regard.
