- Swift Justice/Court Reporters

2. Illegal Immigration/Shanty Town

- Overall unemployment rate rose 16.2%/Grand Bahama 19.5%

- Economic slowdown in 2013 as growth falls to 0.7% (projected growth by the IMF 1.2%)

4. Mortgage Relief – TOTAL DISASTER

- Again a promise unfulfilled

- Only the PM’s friends need apply

5. Costs of Electricity/Cost of doing business in the Bahamas/Cost of Living…TOO HIGH and unsustainable for the average Bahamian!

6. Promise of the return of managing and controlling shares in BTC

- Not a reality/has not happened

7. Where is theBRIDGE TO THE FUTURE’?

- The rehiring of the same old guards

- no opportunities for the younger generation

- Younger members in the PLP seem to have lost their voice

- Young persons off in University/College or going to University/College say they will not return to the Bahamas because of lack of opportunity. The brain drain continues

8. Government in Disarray

- Has not live up to any of the promises made during the election campaign

- has not lived up to their own legislative agenda and timelines.

a. The debacle with the ‘webshop’ referendum

b. The question of stem cell advancement

c. Information not forthcoming regarding the BTC negotiations

d. select committee on BTC sale not a reality

e. Gaming Bill – and the contradictory statement by Minister of Tourism and the Junior Attorney General

f. the delay in the promised referendum on Gender equality.

g. the VAT debacle

- 1st July 2014 proposed date by this government

- Foreigners stated unrealistic timeline

- need for public education and Freedom of Information Act

- Consequently private sector/business/economy on stand still

- PM QUIET as a LAMB

CONCLUSION

This Christie led administration after all of its fanfare, rallies, commercials, music, paraphernalia, food, drink and promises is a government with all of its political experience that have NO direction and plan for this country. A classic ad hoc government that exudes incompetence at its best…an embarrassment to our country. We have a country that is leaderless and there is no vision
