27TH JANUARY 2010

CONDOLENCES TO THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

The Progressive Liberal Party wishes to extend sincere condolences to the Catholic Community on the passing of Archbishop Lawrence Burke, who served as Catholic Bishop in this country. We are all saddened by his passing. Archbishop Burke will be remembered as a builder and as one who helped to further establish the church as a moral beacon in The Bahamas. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Catholic community at this sad time. The party expects that a representative will attend the funeral services in Jamaica on 4th February.
