Remarks by

Hon. Philip “Brave” Davis, M.P.

Opening of PLP Elizabeth Constituency Office

25th January, 2009

PLP!

Tonight it feels good to be in Elizabeth! And it feels even better to be PLP!

Party Leader, my parliamentary colleagues, you the wonderful people Elizabeth and those across the Bahamas I bring you greetings from the fine people of Cat Island, Rum Cay and San Salvador!

Elizabeth, we have come to join you tonight in telling Hubert Ingraham and the FNM that Elizabeth is a part of our PLP FAMILY!  We in the PLP are family…and family sticks together!

And stick together we must!  United we stand!  Together as a united force we can make a difference!

We need Change and we need it now...we must bring the Change!  Tonight I am convinced that the future of the PLP is bright!  The future of the Bahamas is bright!  Indeed, the future is now!  That future begins with Ryan Pinder and the PLP!

Hubert Ingraham, the Free National Movement and its operatives are now in full swing!  They are concocting all manner of things!  They are throwing everything at us and our good candidate – even the kitchen sink!

The rumors have started!  The lies have begun!  The spin doctors are in full gear!  The false promises are being thrown out!  And the false prophets are all around the place trying to swing you the good people of Elizabeth!

But I have news for them!  We have a good and solid candidate in Ryan Pinder!

Desperation has begun to set in because you know and now they know that Elizabeth is ready for change!  Elizabeth is ready for real change!  Elizabeth is ready for real representation!  Elizabeth is motivated and ready to elect Leo Ryan Pinder as the next Member of Parliament for the Elizabeth constituency.  Elizabeth will bring the Change!

Today begins a new day for Elizabeth. Your partnership with Ryan Pinder and the PLP will start a new chapter for this community.

Tonight we in the PLP are proud to show a new direction for our country.  We are proud to celebrate the future. We are focused on a new style of politics.  We are concerned about solutions. We are concerned about a better Bahamas.

We won’t solve our problems, like rising crime and the breakdown of family values and community, until we create good-paying jobs for all Bahamians.

When elected, Ryan Pinder will make job creation his #1 priority.  He has plans to attract light industry to the country and to help Bahamians create their own businesses.

Now more than ever the Bahamas needs experts like Ryan Pinder!

PLPs, we are ready to turn the spotlight on the next generation of leaders.  It is for these reasons that we stand 100 percent behind our candidate, Ryan Pinder!

He is indeed the right man!  He is in the right place and this is the right time!

BE BRAVE ELIZABETH! I SAY BE BRAVE…Bring the Change!!!!!!

Elizabeth now is your time to give Ryan Pinder a voice!

We need Ryan Pinder in Parliament!

And we will need a tax attorney in a new PLP Government!

The future is now!

The future is L. Ryan Pinder and the PLP!

BE BRAVE ELIZABETH! Bring the Change and TAKE A STAND!

VOTE THIS FEB. 16th for our PLP candidate and tell the FNM that Change is here!

PLP…

PLP…

PLP…

Thank you and God Bless you!
