Nassau, Bahamas - The ratification of Michael Pintard by the Free National Movement for the Marco City constituency is yet another demonstration of the poor leadership and judgment of that party’s leader, Dr. Hubert Minnis. Pintard cannot be described as a newcomer having lost twice.

Bahamians remember very well that not long ago Mr. Pintard was involved in a murder for hire conspiracy where he was heard on tape negotiating a $500,000 payoff to individuals Dr. Minnis characterized as ‘criminals’ and ‘gangsters’ in exchange for an affidavit.

Pintard was subsequently forced by Dr. Minnis to resign his post as both a senator and chairman of the FNM in disgrace. His questionable character and judgment makes Pintard unfit for the high and honourable office he aspires to.

SIMPLY PUT, MICHAEL PINTARD IS A BAD CHOICE AND THE GOOD PEOPLE OF MARCO CITY DO NOT DESERVE THIS ALBATROSS AND EMBARRASSMENT AROUND THEIR NECKS!!

Equally as unfit for leadership is Dr. Hubert Minnis who agreed to this ratification. Minnis was also compromised in this sordid affair as these ‘criminals’ and ‘gangsters’ are well known to him, having brought him gifts of fish at his home on multiple occasions.

Former members of the FNM publicly accused Minnis’ FNM of conspiring with foreigners to destabilize a duly elected government as they severed their ties with that organization. This is yet another failure in leadership and strikes at the fundamental principle of public trust.

Prime Minister Christie recently characterized Dr. Minnis as a ‘minor player in the political firmament after Minnis lost the post of Leader of the Opposition to Loretta Butler-Turner because the vast majority of his parliamentary caucus had lost all confidence in his ability to lead them.

Minnis the flip flopper who makes poor leadership decisions, who fumbled the ball on Baha Mar, who cannot inspire confidence and inspiration among his base and lacks the ability to hold his party and caucus together because they all lack confidence in his leadership ability cannot and must not be allowed to led this country, The Bahamas.
