"Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (BASRA) is again providing prudent, simple life-saving advice to local mariners which could literally guarantee their survival. With no official Coast Guard in the country, BASRA volunteers have been providing search and rescue assistance to those who travel Bahamian waters for more than 36 years. The non-profit volunteer organization exists through generous donations and membership applications from its supporters."
