Bell who received their Instruments of Appointment when they were

National Emergency Management Agency conducts water rescue training course - May 21, 2012 - 4:48:40 PM
NASSAU, The
Bahamas – The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, in
conjunction with the United States Northern Command NORTHCOM, conducted a
water rescue training course and equipment programme from May 14 – 17,
2012 at the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base, Coral Harbour.
The
purpose of the exercise was to train and equip individuals in New
Providence to effectively respond to a disaster in surrounding waters;
and to establish a search and rescue programme.
It
was the third in a three-part training course and equipment programme
conducted on the islands of Abaco, Grand Bahama and New Providence...

The Cabinet Office has announced that
Mrs. Sharon R. Wilson, a former President of the Senate and noted attorney and former magistrate;
Mr. Joseph R. Curry, a business consultant and former diplomat; and
Mrs. Cheryl E. Bazard, a noted attorney
have been appointed as Senators under Article 39 (4) of the Constitution
.

turning out to be a promising mentorship project, the Public Treasury
Art Programme (PTAP) is staging an exhibition entitled ‘Nurturing
Brotherhood’.

the next five months the foyers of the Public Treasury Building, East
Street North, will showcase works from some of the country’s most
talented artists alongside that of their protégés.

called on members of the International Maritime Organisation to react
responsibly to the increasing attacks on vessels and crew by pirates in
open waters.

Bahamas - The Cabinet Office announced that Prime Minister, the
Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, had advised His Excellency the
Governor-General to complete the formation of the new cabinet.
This
second and final group of ministers were sworn in at Government House
on May 11th, 2012. This follows eight cabinet ministers who were sworn
in on May 10th, and the Deputy Prime Minister who was sworn in on May
9th.
In announcing the final group of ministers, Prime Minister Christie
said that under ordinary circumstances he would have gone with a smaller

15th Model United Nations Sessions (MUNS) was held on April 27, 2012 at
the Wyndham Crystal Palace, Cable Beach.

MARSH HARBOUR, Abaco
--- Officials of the National Insurance Board and Coastline
Construction Tuesday signed a contract for $12 million for the
construction of a new community hospital in Marsh Harbour.
Scheduled
to be completed within 60 weeks, the signing and groundbreaking
ceremony for the facility came almost 25 years after NIB completed its
first Community Clinic at Marsh Harbour in 1988.
At
that time, NIB embarked upon a mission to assist with the development
