Nassau, Bahamas - Members of the Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers (BACO)
paid a courtesy call on Data of Protection Commissioner, Sharmie Farrington
Austin, who replaced George Rogers in June, 2013. Mrs. Austin has been tasked
with the job of safeguarding the privacy of individuals in respect to the
processing of personal information. Her duties will entail liaising with all
financial institutions, the Royal Bahamas Police Force and all relevant
government ministries in order to protect the privacy of individuals and to
ensure that the Data Protection Act is fully enforced. Pictured from left:
