Bahamas: 19th Annual Caribbean Multi-National Business Conference

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie addresses attendants at a dinner and reception held during the 19th Annual Caribbean Multi-National Business Conference on Saturday, November 8, at Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort. The three-day event attracted a cross-section of Business leaders in the Caribbean and the United States. The theme of the conference was “The Caribbean: Waves of Opportunity, Oceans of Success."

The programme for the conference included a variety of discussions and presentations, including a focus on the "Impact of Women in Business and Development; Business Opportunities between the Caribbean and United States; The Caribbean, Ready for Business - the Case of Haiti and Accessing Action; and Empowering The Bahamas for Success in the 21st Century.”

After delivering welcome remarks, Mr. Christie encouraged the delegates to invest in The Bahamas and to take this message to others in the region. He also mentioned that during May 3 - 9, The Bahamas will host its first-ever Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival. (BIS Photo/Patrick Hanna).
