Bahamas Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Hours of Operation Temporarily Adjusted

assau, Bahamas – The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) wishes to advise the public that due to the malfunctioning of the air-conditioning units at its headquarters on Thompson Boulevard, the Ministry’s
hours of operation are from 9:00am to 1:00pm until further notice. Individuals having to conduct business with the Ministry of Education are asked to do so between these hours.
The National Insurance Board is the owner of the building and is responsible for its maintenance. They are well aware of the situation and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has been informed that two new chillers which are the parts needed to rectify the problem have been ordered at a cost of couple hundred thousand dollars.
The Ministry of Education thanks its staff and the public for their understanding and patience during this ordeal and we will update the public when we revert to our usual hours of operation.
