New Providence, Bahamas - The Governor General Her Excellency Dame Marguerite hosted nominees for National Youth Awards at Government House on October 8.  The Medal Presentation Ceremony for Nominees honoured candidates from across the islands for their outstanding achievements and contributions to their respective organizations.

National Youth Awards recognizing excellence are given annually by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

The Ministry will present 30 choice awards to the most outstanding youth in civics and sports during a ceremony at the Melia Cable Beach Resort on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.  The ceremony is open to the public, and will be hosted by Prime Minister the Rt.
