Blue Hill Estates Town Meeting Held

Nassau, The Bahamas -- A Blue Hill Estates Town Meeting of Blue Hills residents was held at the Chapel on the Hill, February 20, 2017 to discuss plans for the new Post Office, and also access to Blue Hill Road.

Matters for discussion included: Elimination of access to Baillou Hill Road (Blue Hill Road) from west to east; Plans for New Post Office Building, including 4 storeys (possible basement) and impact on the community; Changes to traffic flow of service road connecting to Tonique Williams Darling Highway; Alternative access to TWD Highway from east to west; Alternative access to Baillou Hill Road from west to east; Other proposed exit alternatives in case of fire, road diversion, accident, etc.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development the Hon. Philip Davis was in attendance, as was House Speaker, MP for Garden Hills the Hon. Dr. Kendal Major, and technical personnel and other public officials.  (BIS Photos/Raymond A. Bethel, Sr.)
